Island Boards
__NOTOC__The Island Boards represent the Island that the Spirits and Dahan are protecting against the Invaders. They are the game pieces that Dahan, Invaders, Spirit Presence, and Spirit Tokens are placed on while playing the game.
Each Island Board is identified by a letter and contains several lands identified by numbers.
=Combining Base Game and Expansion Boards=
Jagged Earth and Horizons of Spirit Island each include two new Island Boards (E & F and G & H respectively). Underneath the letter on each of the Island Boards from these expansions is a smaller, crossed-out letter: board E shows "no B," board F shows "no D," board G shows "no C" and board H shows "no A". You may wish to avoid using that pairing of boards in games with 4 or fewer Island Boards, as it will concentrate some terrains as good (those starting without /
/
) and others as bad, which can skew Difficulty depending on Invader Cards drawn. If you consider island variety more important than the potential for swinginess, ignore this advisory and use whatever boards you like!
=Spirit Island Boards= These four island boards were included with the base game. The Balanced boards are shown first, followed by the Thematic board which shows up on the other side of the physical boards.
As a reminder for the balanced boards, 1 token is placed into land 2, and 1
token is placed in the lowest-numbered land without printed icons. If you're not playing with
and/or
, ignore them.
